His passion for financial markets started at a young age and he has actively invested in the market from 18 years of age, giving him more than 10 years of market experience to draw on.
Simon has completed several business and investment related qualifications including a Bachelor of Economics at the University of Canberra, ASX Accredited Derivatives Adviser qualification levels 1 & 2 (ADA1, ADA2), Macquarie Bank Financial Intelligence Series Financial Modelling and the Macquarie Bank Financial Intelligence Series Company Valuation courses, making him well equipped for today's market conditions.
Prior to working with Beresfords, Simon was the Head of Research & Senior Equities Analyst for leading independent stock market research house wise-owl.com. The team at wise-owl.com has an enviable reputation for picking up on emerging trends and outperforming companies ahead of the market. Prior to this, Simon worked for Australia's largest funds management group, Colonial First State where he was exposed to leading fund managers and research teams investing in Australian shares, international shares, bonds, fixed interest, hedge funds and money markets.
